Meeting this Wednesday!

 Hi guys,

Our next meeting is this Wednesday, March 23 at 4:30pm. Hope you can make it in person, but if not, I'll send out a WebEx invitation. We've missed a bunch of you! 

I know you're tired of hearing about Byways, but Byways, Byways, Byways! If you are or were a current student this semester or last semester, please enter your creative work. Here's the categories and how to enter. https://www.ctcd.edu/academics/library/byways/ The deadline is March 30, but don't wait until the last minute. 

Every one of you can be a finalist! Believe in yourself and enter today. 😊 If you want to bring some entries, we can go over how to enter them.

Also, don't forget to come to our Smash Brothers fundraiser. I attached the flyer so you can talk it up to everyone. Remember, if you work it, you won't have to pay. If you bring someone, they pay and your club makes money!

March 2 meeting

 Hi Guild Members!

We had two new members join us at our last meeting. Welcome Stephen and Amare! Also at the meeting was Nic, William, Edward, Matthew and Reece.  Reece showed us one of her photographs and then we each wrote either a story or snippets about it. Then we talked about what projects people were working on. 

Make sure to share your work on our Discord page for feedback.

Please bring fun creative ideas that we can do together. Remember that when we draw, plan, write, and support each other, we train our brains to succeed in our creative goals. 

I'll send out a WebEx invitation if anyone can't make it in person. Those in WebEx make sure to bring creative ideas as well.

Catching you all up!

 Hi guys, 

We've been meeting every other week, so our next meeting is Weds, March 2 at 4:30pm. Some of the cool things we've been doing is activities to encourage us to write. We created outlines and wrote various ideas in our last meeting. We also played a really bad art game to encourage creativity the meeting before. 

We have the fundraiser set up for Sunday, April 3 from 1-3pm. Ticket cost for non-Writers Guild members is $5.00 cash only. Flyers are being put out on campus and online. We will sell the tickets at the circulation desk and at the door. We hope you guys can make it and if you want to play, bring a joy con or Pro controller. 

Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't ice this Thursday. At this moment, we are still going through with the Author Night this Thursday from 6-8pm. Please plan on coming to the library then. If the campus closes, I'll let you know if we rescheduled it.

CTC Writers Guild Meeting Minutes

New officers; William as the Vice President and Edward as Security.

We are needing help with some help with the Welcome Back Bash tomorrow, January 20th 2022.

Gaming Fundraiser, April 3rd which is a Sunday, 1pm to 3pm. We are going to be playing on the Switch and playing Smash Bros Ultimate. 

Everyone music type, artists, and/or songs for a Spotify Music Playlist.

Writing activity; coming with story topics to branch out and talk about it.

Another thing is, welcome all new members that have join. Hope y’all enjoying the club and hope to see y’all in the meeting either in person or virtual.

Welcome Back Writers Guild!!!

 

Hi guys!!!! Happy New Year! Ready to start off writing, drawing, gaming, photography, music and whatever creative thing that's been going on with you?

Now's the time to get serious about Byways. Start gathering your writing, art, digital art, and kazillion other things you want to send in and then do it. I know many of you are not students this year, so I'm sorry. Byways is only for students who were enrolled in summer, fall of 2021 and spring 2022. But don't let that stop you! We have a ton of things we can do this upcoming semester!

First off! Our next meeting is Wednesday January 19 at 4:30pm! Then.......that very next day is our Spring Welcome Bash! We had so much fun at the last one, so I hope you can make it. They're still working on the page, but this is where you go for fun activities that week! https://www.ctcd.edu/locations/central-campus/student-life-activities/welcome-week/ Our theme is pirates so dress up and have fun! It will be inside the Anderson building and we have a ton of games that need helpers!

So let me know who can work the Welcome Bash anytime between 9 and 2 on January 20. It will be a lot of fun to do something with you guys again!
