In this Writer's Guild we discussed mainly about Byways, doing our writings to participate and sharing our works so far with others for constructive reviews.

Along with that, we had tips on how to make a Byways participation that would shine from the others(If you want to hear more about it, you can talk it with Cindy).

Need to cancel tomorrow's Writers Guild meeting

 Hello Fellow Writers,

I realized that I didn't put this Wednesday's Writers Guild meeting on my calendar, so unfortunately, I scheduled something that takes me to Temple at the time of the meeting. 

But I also realized that we have 2 meetings scheduled before the Welcome Bash:

January 18 (first week of the semester)

January 25 (second week of the semester)

Welcome Bash is January 26.

So in other words, we can finish the decorations for Welcome Bash on those days. 

I'm sorry about that. 

So guys.................good luck on your exams and have a wonderful and safe holiday winter break! You guys are all amazing and deserve the best! 

Please consider using your time off to create some amazing entries for Byways! https://www.ctcd.edu/academics/library/byways/

The deadline is much earlier this year, so get cracking on creating some winning entries.

We have our next meeting, tomorrow Nov 2 at 4:30pm. 

So far the agenda has us talking about a partnership with Net Impact on doing a recycled art project. 

Please bring other ideas to the meeting.

 Dear Creative Peeps,

Important stuff, so please read

Twilight

1. Those working Twilight (Saturday) tomorrow please be at the planetarium at 1:30pm unless you told me you will be there later. 
2. We still need volunteers. If you can make it, show up tomorrow at the planetarium. 
3. Wear either all black or all white. 

Haunted House

• Due to the rules that the sponsor needs to be there 6-midnight on oct 28 and oct 29, I can't commit to do the House and carnival. I may need to be out of town.

• Therefore whoever wants to work the event, please let me know. We have an alternate way to make it happen, by going with another club.

Poetry Slam and Open Mic

• The slam is this upcoming Thursday at 4:30pm. See flyer at the bottom and attached
• You can perform anything in your 3 minutes - poetry, dance, song, musical instrument, acting, speech
• Here is the link and flyer. Sign up asap. https://forms.gle/kUgyaKp22TgjgFrBA. We already have people signed up. You MUST register to be able to participate.

• Go to WeTransfer.com. You don't need to sign up to send a file.

Leigh Greenthaner came and talked about Twilight.  

We have new members and had introductions

We played a weird form of creating a story by blending ideas.

Next meeting is October 19 at 4:30pm

Bring whatever creative things you're working on so we can share and support each other
